Children enjoyed activities in the gym with FSU Physical Education students. One lucky family won a $50 Wal Mart card, donated by LaVale Wal Mart and all who attended enjoyed pizza from Fat Boys Pizza Shack of Frostburg.
Parents listen to Dr. Ornstein present information on how to help your child increase his/her vocabulary.
Beall Elementary Assists Western MD Food Bank Third Grade AEP students organized a food drive for the Western Maryland Food Bank. It was held during the week of December 14th-18th. The total amount of food collected from students at the school was 1,065 pounds! Students who brought in food items had the opportunity to participate in the theme for the day. For example, if you brought in a breakfast food item for the drive, you could participate in "Pajama Day." The AEP students also toured the facilities of the Western MD Food Bank and learned about operational procedures.
Families and teachers gather during Math Night to do "make and take"activites to reinforce math concepts.
