Dear Families,Flintstone Elementary School is glowing with great students, staff and families this year! We are having an awesome school experience with the many activities in the classrooms, in resource classes as well as in the abundance of other activities that take place before and after school. This is an exciting place to be each day! Families and friends are invited to volunteer daily at the school. There are many ways to help in the classrooms, in the volunteer room with Mrs. Smith and with the PTA. If you have time to spare, we can always use your help. Contact your child’s teacher to learn about ways you can be of assistance to our school. Be sure to check our website each week for updates from the classrooms regarding new units of study, weekly spelling words and new vocabulary words. Mrs. Fentress maintains our moodle sites each week to keep parents informed of what is happening in each classroom as well as in the school. It is hoped that the website will provide families with another source of information beyond the daily assignment notebook and communicator folder. Our science days have been an incredible success this year with many wonderful opportunities for students to learn so much about physics, chemistry and the earth. We have one more day planned this year with some great activities related to life science. This will take place in the spring when the weather permits us to get outside. It is hoped that many parents can join us to assist with the activities and to learn more about the great programs at our school. We are always looking for new ways to help our students and families. Please feel free to offer your input, suggestions, and assistance to make our school a great place to learn and play each day!
