2009-2010 Debate team.

Debate Team

 

Debate Team and Model UN are usually consisted of the same students.

Model United Nations is a once a year event. Students from multiple schools from Allegany and Garrett county meet to act out an actual UN meeting. They discuss a topic and defend their given countries.

Debate Team is a team of students given a particular topic. They defend both the positive and negative side of the debate in competition against other schools.
Goal or mission
To give students a chance to learn about other coutnries or topics and defend their views against other schools. Promotes good social skills and improves public speaking.
