The school systems employs pupil personnel workers to assist students and families with a variety of services ranging from enrollment coordination, records review, custody and residency issues, and coordination of suspension hearings to ensure due process.
In addition, the pupil service workers provide training and acts as consultants for schools and communities on Board of Education policy and procedures on topics such as abuse, harassment, conflict management, crisis intervention, parenting, and a variety of other topics.
Working cooperatively with other community agencies, pupil service workers coordinate the delivery of services to students and families with identified needs. The pupil service workers are active participants on school-based interdisciplinary teams such as Crisis Team, Pupil Services Team, and IEP Team.
