Community Service Program

The Community Service Program for Suspended/Expelled Youth (CSP) will provide supervised community service opportunities for suspended  or expelled youth from the Allegany County Public School System.  Partiicpating youth will be referred by the administration of the school to the coordinator of the CSP.  The program will provide various community service opportunities to youth.  Participants will be able to complete missed academic assignments while they are suspended from school.  The CSP coordinator will assign, supervise, and monitor the activity of the participants.  Eligibility is determined by the school administrator and the pupil personnel worker with imput from the parent.  The focus of the CSP is to provide support for a successful return to the classroom environment.  This strategy provides participants with positive experiences and academic support during a time which was traditionally an unsupervised time.

This program is funded through a partnership with the Local Management Board.
