Come, join the fun! Allegany County Public Schools is offering a unique summer camp opportunity for middle school students. 100 participants will have a chance to explore careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics first hand!
Guest speakers, interactive activities and special presentations will complement the camp experience and campers will be rewarded with a great opportunity to learn about career opportunities while having fun!
CAMP ACTIVITIES
Join other interested middle school students and an expert teaching team and learn about careers in Health and Biosciences, Environmental Science, Physical Science, Technology, and Engineering.
- Solve a Medical mystery while learning about health careers with health professionals
- Design and test remote operated underwater vehicles
- Explore careers in Environmental Science while doing field work with professionals
- Learn GIS and GPS technology with a hands-on project
- And much, much more!
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
WHO: Allegany County Middle School Students
WHEN: Monday, July 20 through Friday, July 24 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
WHERE: Allegany College of Maryland
COST: FREE!
Transportation will be provided from identified bus stops in each middle school district.
